WALKING CLUB NEWS?

Hi, folks! With the weather a little cooler, why not come out for a little exercise? All walks begin at 9:30AM and are as long (or as short!) as you wish.

Sept. 8 Lynn Valley Trail; meet in the parking lot off Prospect St., Pt. Dover

Sept. 22 Lynn Valley Trail; meet in the parking lot in Memorial Park, Owen St., Simcoe (I will be absent for this walk.)

Oct. 13 Delhi RailTrail; meetwhere the trail meetsFertilizer Rd., 2.4 km North of Highway # 3

Oct. 27 Meet where the trail meets the Nixon Road, 2 km North of Highway # 3

Hi friends, I've checked the Strand theatre listings and see a film for Thurs. which might be interesting! It's called Soul Surfer, about a young girl who loses an arm in a shark attack. It starts at 7:00, costs $8, and the theater is in Simcoe , 55 Robinson Street. Why don't we buy our tickets and meet in the lobby. Bring some money for a hot chocolate afterwards. If someone replies that they'd like to go, I'll be there!

Want to be active outside a little more?

Join other members of RTO who would like to enjoy the fresh air and a little exercise on local trails! Walk as far as you like, at your own pace. We’d like to walk on the second and fourth Thursday mornings, beginning at 9:30 AM. Below we have outlined the first three dates. After that, watch our website (www.norfolkrto-ero.on.ca) for where we’ll meet! To start, we’ll explore the Lynn Valley Trail. Movie Night!

How would you like to get together now and then and see a movie?

Other districts leaders tell me movie nights are popular among their members. I thought it would be fun and decided to give it a try here in District 12. The idea is to meet at a designated time and movie theater and see a show with RTO friends! The problem is that at the Simcoe Strand Theater, the week's movies aren't announced until Monday afternoon. I will check the listings on the 1st and 3^rd weeks of the month and if there is an interesting film, will have it posted on our web site (norfolk rto-ero.on.ca). I will start by getting a group together on the 1^st and 3^rd Thursdays of each month starting after mid-April. If I had your email addresses I could send the information directly to you.
